Created for the Lucasfilm Animation and Studio Ghibli Collection at Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025, The Force Rekindled is an original concept artwork inspired by the visual storytelling and emotional spirit of Studio Ghibli. The piece was selected as one of eighteen original works created by Lucasfilm artists for the Anime & Manga Pavilion, where it was exhibited alongside artwork by Dave Filoni, Doug Chiang, and Studio Ghibli artist Katsuya Kondo. The work was also featured by StarWars.com as part of its official coverage of the exhibition and was subsequently selected for Studio Ghibli’s collection. The Force Rekindled reflects my interest in character-driven storytelling, cinematic composition, and the ability of a single image to suggest a larger world beyond the frame.
